Beautiful song

I've always loved Woody Allen's musical - 'Everybody says I love you' - above all, because of the great song collection.
This is Tim Roth singing 'If I had you' ( by James Campbell and Reginald Connely).

Again.... and again.

There's something about the following scenario: a beautiful voice surrounded by a good orchestra performing a gorgeous song, that simply makes me want to listen to it over and over and over... it can be either an Opera, a Broadway Song or a charming Bossa (it doesn't matter), that's the same feeling I have every time I watch certain movies (in that case, not just any movie, but some specific ones...I can think of a couple right now: Modern Times, Billy Elliot, Blade Runner, E.T., Lolita, Hable con Ella, Butch & Cassidy, The curious Case of Benjamin Button, Amarcord, Cinema Paradiso, The Lives Of Others... and so on). It just feels like seeing it again... and again...

Stand by me

I've received this from a dear friend...
I aways loved the Beatles, and John Lennon, who sang this song
beautifully ( it's a song by Ben E. King, Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller).
So, here's another version, also great.

A great song is always a great song.

A great song, no matter what, is always a great song. This is a classic example of that ( in a GOOD way), I particularly always loved this Woody Allen's version of this beautiful tune.
He's singing it as simple as you could sing, surronded by a gourgess and very sutil arrangment.

It's worthed to check the Keith Jarrett's version from the album The Melody At Night, With you, and Diana Krall's Version, from the album All for you, as well.

I'M THROUGH WITH LOVE ( Matt Maineck, Gus kahn. J. Livingston)
